In the late 1980′s the develpment of PC and LAN technology was huge; for its sub-netting technology.
NSF – National Science Foundation – started the Supercomputer Centres program. NSF’s idea to make supercomputer assets available by the best means, which was constructing 5 supercomputer centres around the country; building a network to link them – with possible users. NSF started to base the network on internet protocols; NSFNET was then created. NSFNET was than the foundation of the US till 1995.
